THE LORDSHIP OF CHRIST & THE HOLY SPIRIT

Let’s have a “read and ruminate together” . . .

1 Corinthians 12:1-3 “Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be unaware. You know that when you were pagans, you were led astray to the mute idols, however you were led. Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is accursed”; and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.

In verses one to three, the apostle Paul makes a clear case for the acknowledgment of the Lordship of Jesus over our lives to be a direct result of the Holy Spirit's work within.

He draws an analogy of how we were led by dumb or inanimate idols; with how are now led by the Spirit. With this analogy Paul relates the interpretation of his thought.

We are led by our own heart's allegiance and volition.

We bow in obedience to the movings of the Spirit in and through “His Gifts of Grace”. Knowing the Holy Spirit will extend the claims and Lordship of Jesus to the lives of others, we know it starts in us . . .
